Sorry to see you go F.Y.D

I am shocked that Louis Walsh actually made a decision.  Usually the judges split their votes evenly and leave it to the public to make the final decision.

This year Simon Cowell supported his act F.Y.D.  Cheryl supported her act Katie Wassell.  Dannii Minogue chose F.Y.D. to leave and Louis actually surprised me by also voting for F.Y.D.

It would have been nice to see more of F.Y.D. as they would have got better as the weeks went on, but it wasnt to be.

Perhaps this year's X Factor is going to be full of surprises.  Simon Cowell has been enjoying acts that he would normally have dismissed, perhaps turning 51 has mellowed him - we shall see ....

Goodbye Nicolo Festa

The first one to leave X Factor is always a shock and usually its someone that I would like to have seen more of.

This year I am so pleased to see the back of Nicolo Festa. From the first moment he stepped onto our screens I took a dislike to him.

His head was so far up his backside and he was so smug that he was going to be a legend.

Goodbye and good riddance :D

Joe McElderry

Would Joe have made it if he was in this years X Factor?

He has the look of a popstar, has a good voice and is very handsome, but this year the contestants are much better than 2009.

Welcome home Joe and the best of luck for the future.

Paije Richardson is back !

Last week's X Factor at the judges houses left me cold ... I was gutted that Paije Richardson had not made the final 3 in his category.

Thankfully this year all the judges picked a wild card and Paije was chosen.

This year's X Factor is the strongest ever and has many good singers and a few stars in the making.

I know that Paije is and will become a star.

Good luck Paije.

Matt Cardle - something different

Could Matt Cardle take it all the way to be the X Factor winner.

From his first audition he has proven he is something different to the rest.

This year's X Factor has some good singers but not many stars, and Matt Cardle could be (and I hope he is) a star.

Check him out (copy and paste the url below)

Is it hot enough for a Storm (Lee) tonight?

X Factor hopefully Storm Lee has changed his look this week and looks HOT ....

I love the hair and the make-up was fantastic.

Storm is a hot rock star and could give Rod Stewart a run for his money.

He is one of the strong men in this contest and could knock all the boys out of this competition ....

Take a look at his audition (copy and paste the URL below)

Treyc Cohen - a very strong contender

Last year I was so disappointed when Treyc Cohen left the X Factor.

When she returned this year I was so pleased that she had come back to try again.

She is proving once again that she has an amazing strong voice and deserves a recording contract.  This year's X Factor has some strong contenders but Treyc is definitely one to watch.

Good luck Treyc - be confident and go for it.

Garages

What is it with garages?

Last year I took my car for an MOT.  I sat in a grotty room for an hour whilst I waited for my car to be ready.  I was ignored by everyone and the mechanics (who were all men) scratched themselves and swore like troopers.

This year I decided that I would take my husband with me.  As we walked in, the owner (who my husband knows) came and greeted us, took us into the waiting room and was very friendly.  We sat for about 10 minutes and were then offered tea or coffee.  There was a tv on the wall and were told that we could change the channels and find something that we wanted to watch and the owner even pulled down the blind on the window so that there was no reflection on the tv.

When the car was ready, the guy who was in charge of issuing the certificates and invoices said to my husband "Excuse me Sir, your car has failed its MOT and needs some repairs, what would you like us to do?" ....  hang on a minute, the invoice was in my name, the number plate on the car is my name, he saw me drive in and I gave him the key... am I invisible???

Because I am female does it mean that I dont have many brain cells and you have to speak to me in words of one syllable or less??

Why is it that when it comes to cars and other men dominated industries do they treat women as second class citizens?

Come on, wake up.  Its 2010 and not 1910.  I deal with all the bills and payments in our household, so it is about time that some men give a little bit more credit to the female population, cos one day Sonny Jim you may get married to "one of us, females" and all I can say is god help you !
